Mobile weighing platform 2m x 2m
As part of an on-going research project, planned to coincide with a regular national exhibition, we were asked to design a roll-on/roll-off weighing platform portable enough to be transported and installed by one person. The requirement called for a platform 2 metres by 2 metres with a centre section height of only 35mm, having a maximum capacity of 1,000kg with a resolution of better than 500g. Pictured on the right is the finished product in use.
The solution to the question of portability was arrived at by using two 2 metre length weighbars with integral load cells and suspending four individual 2m x 0.5m panels to form a rigid centre section. Each weighbar was fitted with different connectors to prevent incorrect connection and the 5 digit display unit was linked to the platform using a 5 metre cable. The dismantled platform with all accessories was easily transported in a standard panel van. We are happy to quote for any specialist size or application and can incorporate mains/battery powered display units with or without PC interfacing and have the option of ultra high accuracy specifications.
